Highland Presybyterian Church

Worshiping at Highland Presbyterian Church

Summer Sundays at Highland are a change of pace for us as we combine our two worship services. From Memorial Day weekend (May 28) through Labor Day weekend (September 3), we will gather for one worship service at 10:00 a.m. While our regular Church School offerings also pause for the summer, the Present Word class will continue to meet at 9:00 a.m. Lemonade in the Shade will follow worship each week as we gather for fellowship on the slate patio outside of the Sanctuary. This summer, we also look forward to occasional outdoor musical offerings during our fellowship time!

During the rest of the year, all are invited to gather at Highland to worship on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Our vision of worship at Highland is refreshingly traditional, musically alive, deeply biblical and joyfully intergenerational. Our service is centered in the reading of scripture and preaching, and in sharing the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  Each service features hymns, anthems, and other music that reflect the church’s faith and musical styles from ancient to modern times.

Our congregation comes from a variety of backgrounds and from areas all across the Piedmont Triad. Though people tend to dress up to worship at Highland, we hope that all will feel welcome to come just as they are in a way that is comfortable to them, whether that is in a dress, suit, Hawaiian shirt, or blue jeans. Please also plan to join us for Sunday school, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. You can learn more about our Christian education options for all ages here.
